FED-Ex Air Cargo

SEI provided the design and construction contract administration of all non-airside improvements for the new FedEx Air Cargo Facility at Great Falls International Airport. Design included 1.5 miles of 16-inch diameter water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, parking lots, access roads, storm water detention, lighting, landscaping, curb & gutter, pavement design, and site grading. Special features include a 3-acre feet lined storm water detention pond and 48-inch diameter storm sewer piping system to accommodate 20 acres of concrete apron.

Central Montana Surgery Center

This project included all aspects of site development including the design and construction administration for parking lot, drainage, water utility, sewer, lighting, landscaping, irrigation, fencing, construction administration, and inspection. Water utility work included the Design and Construction Administration of 500 LF of 8-inch PVC C-900 for the new water main extension, including connection and street repair.

MANG Entrance and Gate Relocation

The Montana Air National Guard Base Entrance and Gate Relocation Project is a $1.4 million project to demolish the existing guard facility and reconstruct the entrance road and construct a new guard check station to include force protection measures. The project is being completed with CTA Architects. The civil portion, at approximately $1.1 million, includes water main extensions, storm drainage, a new street to the airport control tower, waste water conveyance, plant mix, grading, and geometric design.

The bidding, construction Administration, and partial construction observation is being led by Stelling Engineers, Inc. with the review of approximately $0.3 million in building improvements by CTA Architects of Great Falls.

DNRC Building and Timber Wolf Subdivision, Kalispell

In 2007, the Montana State Architecture and Engineering Department hired Gordon Whirry and Stelling
Engineers, Inc. to provide a new facility for the Department of Natural Resources in Kalispell. Stelling Engineers was responsible for the structural design of the building in this high seismic region as well as the site design, which was expanded to include conceptual planning of the area surrounding the Subdivison including a traffic impact study. public roadways, city utilities, preliminary and final plat approvals, hydraulic studies, and storm drain design. The construction phase services of the DNRC site and building are currently ongoing. Stelling provided construction administration, inspection of all civil site improvements, and inspecton of structural building elements.

First Interstate Bank, Great Falls

This project included the structural design of a new 12,000 SF, 2 story building with a full 14' deep basement, and civil design of parking lots, utility service extensions, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and storm water piping and detention facilities, sewer main reroute, and water/sewer service extensions. The facility has been designed and is being constructed to be eligible for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Havre Border Patrol Station, Havre

Stelling Engineers provided engineering services for a new border patrol facility in Havre, Montana. The project was designed and is being constructed in order to be certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) facility. The new facility included a 34,000 SF building, access drives, parking lots, curb and gutter, sidewalks, utility extensions, and a heli-pad. Stelling Engineers' services included coordination of the subdivision process, obtaining DEQ approval of storm drainage and water/sewer extensions, structural design, site design, grading, preparation of site and structural plans and details, and inspection of utility construction.

MSU College of Technology, Great Falls

Stelling Engineers provided civil engineering services for a new Academic Addition, a new Trades Facility Building, and relocation of the maintenance shop at the MSU College of Technology Campus in Great Falls. Site improvements included parking lot expansion, new paved service drives, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a concrete plaza with retaining walls. In addition, the project included extension of water and sanitary sewer utilities, and a new storm drainage system including storm water detention ponds.

 

Madison Valley Hospital and Clinic, Ennis

Stelling Engineers provided civil engineering design services for the new Madison Valley Medical Center in Ennis, Montana. Civil services included design for new pavements, grading, storm drainage systems, and utility extensions, preparation of site specifications, and coordination with the Construction Manager.

Stelling Engineers was also hired by the earthwork contractor to provide construction staking services for this project.

Piegan Border Station

This project consisted of a new 1,400 SF building addition, a parking lot, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and site grading at the Piegan Border Station. Stelling Engineers' services included structural design, topopgraphic survey, site grading, drainage design, and preparation of civil and structural plans, details, and specifications.
